2010 FIA Westpac Food and Beverage Industry Awards 

3rd Annual FIA Westpac Food & Beverage Industry Awards a huge success!

  

The 3rd Annual FIA Westpac Food and Beverage Industry Awards Ceremony took place on Friday June 25th, at the Hyatt Regency, Perth.  The ceremony was hosted by the popular Western Australian local and highly regarded national journalist, Channel 9 News reporter Dixie Marshall, with entertainment on the night from The Usual Suspects, a professional & dynamic cover band and a mesmerising show by Perth’s leading magician and illusionist, Adam Murby, of recent Australia’s Got Talent fame.    

The formal event commenced with a sampling of WA’s finest produce, followed by a gala dinner in the Grand Ballroom, with live entertainment throughout the night, and of course the announcement of the Winners of the 2010 FIA Westpac Food and Beverage Industry Awards.  

The quality and detail of this year’s applicants was of a very high standard and raised the bar once again showing the popularity and esteem attached to the annual Awards Ceremony.  In total, close to 100 nominations were received, entering into the eight individual categories.  Awards were presented for the Best Retail Product, Best Food Service Product, Innovation, Environment and Sustainability, Export, Excellence in Supply Chain, Best Marketing Campaign, Excellence in Service to the Industry and the overall Westpac Business of the Year Award.

OVERALL WINNER - Westpac Best Business of the Year – The Chia Company

The Chia Company was awarded the 2010 Westpac Best Business of the Year Award for establishing a profitable new industry meeting consumer health and wellbeing trends in Australia and Overseas

The 2nd FIA Westpac Food and Beverage Industry Awards - a great Success for the WA Industry!

450 WA companies and guests involved in food and beverage manufacturing, marketing, distribution and retailing celebrated this years outstanding industry achievements in 8 distinct categories at an entertaining gala event on Friday September 4th. 

In addition to the major sponsor Westpac, this year’s Food and Beverage Industry award categories were proudly sponsored by IGA, Rabobank, Australia Post, Alinta, Burswood, the Society for Supply Chain Professionals, the National Credit Insurance (Brokers) Pty Ltd and the Department of Agriculture and Food.

Close to 100 entries from companies operating in WA ranging from large multinationals to regional companies supplying niche products and services were received.  The nominations demonstrated the industry’s increasing integration from farm to market and its ability to innovate and compete on a national and international level.

2008 Western Australian Food and Beverage Industry Awards PDF Print E-mail

ImageFIA in conjunction with Westpac hosted the first 2008/09 WA Food and Beverage Industry Award to celebrate the achievements of the WA food and beverage industry.

Anchor Foods awarded - Westpac Best Business of the Year. Other category winners were: Mundella Foods, Casa Dairy, Albany Farmers Markets, Safeguard Innovations, Freshcorp, and Craig Mostyn Group. More than 400 people attended.

The event was held as a gala dinner at the Burswood Entertainment Complex, at the Grand Ballroom on Friday November 14.
