Mr. Howard Cearns, is the founder and Chairman of brainCELLS Creative Marketing, specialising in brand development and management. He is also a founder of Little Creatures Brewing Pty Ltd, where he sits on the Board of Directors and consults as a member of the creative development team. Howard is also a Board Member of Tourism WA. Howard will present on driving brand awareness, market research, targeting customer market segments, customer loyalty, generating sales and the investment in developing and managing brand strategies. His presentation will take in all aspects from brand development and strategy, to channel planning, across all aspects of design and creative concept development, the execution and implementation of branding and how and why its adds value to a business. Mr. Tony Joyner is a senior commercial lawyer and partner of national law firm Freehills. He is the head of Freehills’ Intellectual Property practice in Western Australia and leads the group’s Branding Team, which deals with legal matters relating to branding and advertising. Tony has been involved in a wide range of commercial IP transactions, including IP protection, licensing and IP transfer transactions, and IP strategy and management. Western Australia is home to some great brands. Tony’s branding team has reviewed the brand management of WA’s top 100 companies – and the results are troubling. Tony will take you through the results of the review and highlight the issues it throws up about brand management with entertaining stories from around the world of ‘branding gone wrong’. This sundowner will be of interest to managers and business owners including staff involved in product and business development, QA, brand management, marketing and sales.
